2024: the year of the yard!
Tingalpa Crane Hire has just kept growing... We needed somewhere for the mini cranes and vehicles to call home, and at the start of 2024 TCH moved into a new yard! Plenty of space on the Northside of Brisbane - at 102 Lipscombe Rd, Deception Bay. Things are progressing fast, with upgrades and renovations continually taking place to bring it up to top notch. If all goes to plan; there'll also be a big new shed out the back soon!
2023: It's a Crawler Crane!
Not content with just Spider Cranes, we've added our next BIG addition - a new Maeda 4.9 Ton Crawler Crane. It's been a big hit with customers and if it ever comes back to the yard we'll be sure to snap some more photos to share!
2022: JUST ONE MORE...
That's a big Spider ... The 4 Ton Maeda just made sense, and was exactly what we needed to compliment our Spider Crane Fleet! Check out the specs on the Downloads page today!
2021: I need a bigger one...
We were so impressed with our first Spider Crane - that we were hooked. We needed something slightly bigger to meet demands, something with an impressive 14.9 meter boom... Enter the Unic UR-W376C! The versatility of this machine is unique, and the option for electric or diesel is always a win.
2021: I feel the need - the NEED for machines!
Tingalpa Crane Hire has been flat out with labour hire in 2021. General construction in Brisbane, work for Projects, and for FIFO are all off tap - but there was something missing. Not wanting to get back into the bigger mobile cranes - another option presented itself on the horizon. The versatile and compact Spider Cranes! Pace Cranes impressed us with their service, and with the high quality Maeda Spider Cranes - Made in Japan. These Mini Cranes manage such a variety of work, and are incredibly good at getting into small spaces! The attraction with the Lithium powered MC285CB-3 with white tracks was the ability to quietly, cleanly and safely work indoors as well as out. So we bit the bullet, and haven't looked back!
2020: Huge Company Update!
the fleet is gone, the service isn't!
And - Did someone say labour hire??
After 11 years of running mobile cranes around Brisbane; Tingalpa Crane Hire decided in September 2020 to move on its fleet of mobile cranes. It was not a decision taken lightly, but the change in direction needed for our management team. East Coast Cranes saw the opportunity to purchase THE LOT; 9 mobile cranes, 2 trucks, 5 utes, and a range of other equipment and machinery. Most of our crane crew also made the shift to East Coast Cranes, whilst some other skilled employees were happy to stay on with us.
With a team of dogman, riggers and operators; Tingalpa Crane Hire proceeded to operate in a modest capacity as a Registered Labour Hire Provider. We had thought that this would be an easy going direction... but soon found that skilled labour was in much higher demand than anticipated! Far from slowing down, we soon found ourselves ramping right up again. Quality Labour hire has become our new focus, and we're always looking for skilled crane operators, riggers and dogman who have experience in General Mobile Crane hire! Send us an email today if you meet the description and live in SE QLD!
2020: A 25 Ton Franna joins the fleet!
We've just added a 25 Ton Franna to our fleet... Gotta catch em all!
2019: First in Australia; the 28 Ton TIDD from TRT is set to rival the Franna!
With a greater capacity, state of the art safety features, and a compact size to get in all the tight spaces - we can't wait to see our new TIDD outmanoeuvre and outlift the competition! We even featured in the Cranes and Lifting magazine!
2018: Meet BIG RED - our 60 Ton All Terrain Liebherr!
We couldn't pass up the chance on this latest addition! The 60 Ton All Terrain Liebherr was a perfect fit, taking some pressure off the high demand for our 55 Ton City Crane. Being a 4 axle crane, it's able to carry all of it's counterweight, fly, needle, and lifting equipment without needing extra trucks. Its max lifting radius on main boom is up to 38 meters, and with fly and needle attachment - out to 48 meters. It has a total lifting height of over 60 meters.
2017: Fireworks and the Jaws of Death at the Royal Queensland Show - EKKA!
In 2017 we were presented with the very unique opportunity to be part of Ekka's nightly show in their Stadium - "EKKA Nites". First was the illusionist act "Jaws of Death" by Sam Powers. The crowds were jumping out of their seats as the magician struggled to free himself from the straight jacket - before the flames released the jaws upon him! (of course all the strictest WHS standards were followed!). Then came some of the greatest fireworks the EKKA has ever seen - a jaw-dropping display with many shooting off a fireworks rig being held by the crane. It was incredible to contribute to such an iconic Queensland event, with our 55 Ton Crane front and center in the arena each night. Check out the videos here!
EKKA 2017Can Sam Powers escape the jaws of death in time??
EKKA 2017These insane fireworks shot off a specialized fireworks rig held by our 55 Tonne crane. The Pinwheel display was a favourite!
2016: The little big one - our 55 Ton Terex All Terrain
In 2016 the Tingalpa Cranes Fleet welcomed our first big bertha of a crane - the 55 Ton All Terrain City Crane. She was sourced from down south and after a full rebuild and new paint she looks and runs like a new crane! Being a city crane - it's 3 meters shorter in length than most other 55 All Terrain cranes. This unique compact configuration means she can get into tight spots but still lift a great amount. It's got a generous 40 meter main boom, and up to 20.2 meters of fly can be added.
The 55 was a game changer for the company and we wonder how we got by without it. It's such a fantastic crane and in such high demand!
